As some of my residents know, despite my corporate law and entrepreneurial background, I am extremely keen on investing and promoting the UK tech sector and in helping increase representation for BAME communities within the sector. There is serious tech potential within BAME communities and they are often not given a voice or an opportunity.

Cllr Bhatti, CMF Youth Chair, along with senior CMF Executive members travelled to Northern Ireland on a delegation at the end of March 2018 to speak and listen to the Muslim community. The delegation included meetings with high profile government representatives and meetings with the Belfast Conservative Association.

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) is proposing to reduce the number of councillors from 57 to 42 in time for the 2019 local council elections.
Ward numbers could also be cut from 23 to 19, with Windsor’s Clewer North and Clewer South wards set to be reshaped into Clewer and Dedworth West and Clewer and Dedworth East.

The Windsor Homeless Project (WHP) are raising funds to help the homeless in the borough. The annual Windsor Sleepout will be held on Friday 16th March from 7.30pm at the Alma Road Youth Centre. I hope all Clewer North residents will do their best to support this worthy cause.
